- Punch Drunk will release the young dubstep artist's first full-length next month.
Just over a year since his debut 12-inch, Bristol-based producer Guido is set to release his first full-length, Anidea.
The new record will see release on Punch Drunk, the influential dubstep label run by Tom Ford, AKA Peverelist. Anidea will feature nine new tunes by Guido, plus selections from his two EPs and a new version of "Way U Make Me Feel," featuring vocals by Yolanda, who appeared on Pinch's Get Up and recently toured with Massive Attack.
Asked about the challenges he faced in recording his debut album, Guido told Resident Advisor: "Accepting that it's hard to feel 100% about everything. Always wanting to add stuff and never wanting to put the lid on something can be a difficult one." In regards to the album's title, Guido says "It's a mix of the words 'An Idea'... It also represents something else to me, sort of like an otherworldly refuge."
