- Fennesz, Abe Duque and Elektro Guzzi all guest on the techno experimentalist's new record.
Patrick Pulsinger is set to release his next album, Impassive Skies, this June on Disko B.
Over the course of his 15-year career, Pulsinger has dabbled in many different shades of techno, and Impassive Skies falls on the more accessible side of catalog. The album makes a point of blending electronic and recorded instruments, with an entirely analog hardware set-up. Keys and drum boxes are all played by hand. A raft of guest artists further enhances this motif, with experimental guitarist Christian Fennesz, trumpet player Frans Hautzinger and live techno band Elektro Guzzi all making appearances. Abe Duque and Teresa Rotschopf also guest, and one track, "Thong," was co-produced with Sebastian Niessen of SND.
