Joy Orbison's new imprint rolls out its first branded London night, with Omar-S, Source Direct and Kassem Mosse as guests.
Despite having only one record in its catalog so far, Joy Orbison's Doldrums imprint is ready to begin a new party in London, starting next weekend at Plan B.
Reflecting the influences of his own post-dubstep productions, Doldrums will showcase house, jungle, techno and everything in between. Next weekend's inaugural event will be headlined by Detroit lo-fi master Omar-S. UK Drum & bass pioneers Source Direct, now the solo domain of founder Jim Baker, is set to make a rare London appearance, as is deep tech and house producer Kassem Mosse. UK Funky will be on offer as well, thanks to DJ Petchey & MC Topsee, while a trio of London DJs (Josey Rebelle, The bPm and Eglo head honcho Floating Points) will join the dots between hip hop, electro, disco, house, jungle and techno.
Pre-sale tickets for Doldrums presents can be had right here on RA.
