- The ambient techno artist will release his next full length this fall on Yard Rec.
Swedish techno producer Anders Ilar is set to release his next album this October, entitled The Stories of Old.
Ilar is known for his delicate, contemplative style of techno, as heard on his releases for Echocord, Shitkatapult and Kompakt (not to mention his RA podcast). It's a style that's particularly appealing to Chris Yard, the Portland-based producer who will release Stories of Old on his label Yard Rec. The new LP will feature six new tracks by Ilar, plus remixes by Yard and fellow Oregonian Adam Johnson. It will mark Ilar's second full-length this year to be released on an imprint from the Pacific Northwest; his last album, Vidare, was released on cassette via Seattle's Further Records.
