  • 2010's New Forms Festival will take place this year from 10-18 September. Featuring nine days of exhibitions and music events, New Forms Festival will culminate this year in "the largest media arts exhibition of its kind in the history of Vancouver." Using the city's W2 Storyeum as its base, New Forms will begin its music program on Friday, September 10 with a free opening party featuring acts such as Basketball, No Gold, Love Dancing and Babe Rainbow. The following evening's show will lean heavily on the sounds of UK bass music, as three of the scene's brightest new stars—Slugabed, Illum Sphere and Blue Daisy—all take to the stage. Nasty Nasty, Michael Red and Lomax will also chip in with sets on the night. Perhaps the most notable performance of the festival, however, will be reserved for Friday, 17 as FXHE man Omar-S headlines the Body party, playing alongside Jason Lev and Scott W.
