  • UK-based label Soul Jazz Recordings have unveiled details for Future Bass, a new compilation due out next month. The release follows Nothing to See / Don't Let Me Go, the hotly tipped recent 12-inch by Four Tet and Mala. Both tunes from that release are included, along with 11 other slices of forward-thinking bass music, or as the label describes it, "Future music! Future Bass! Post-Dubstep, post-House, post everything!" Many of the genre's most celebrated artists make an appearance, such as Untold, Ramadanman and Digital Mystikz member Coki, plus a few of Soul Jazz's favorite new talents. "The majority of the artists featured on the compilation we've worked with in the past," said the label in a recent interview with K Mag. "We're always looking to stock their latest releases in our shop Sounds of The Universe in Soho and are lucky that a lot of the producers pass by. The newer artists featured such as Distal and Randomer have been sending us their music for some time now and we're quick to check their productions but it was all about waiting for the right tracks that we felt suited this compilation." Future Bass was mastered at Transition studios in South East London, and will be available on "super-loud, super-heavyweight triple-vinyl." The CD version will come in deluxe plastic casing, complete with a set of limited edition postcards. According to a press release, the compilation will be followed a series of 12-inches featuring more exclusive tracks by the artists included, the first of which will come from Hemlock Recordings boss Untold.
