- The English drum & bass producer will self-release a new album next month.
Drum & bass artist Charlie Bierman, AKA Break, will release a new album in November through his own Symmetry label.
As a prolific producer and former member of the DNAudio crew, Bierman has been a fixture of the drum & bass world since 2003. Resistance will be his first full-length in two years, following 2008's Symmetry. Like much of his work to date, it presents a modern drum & bass sound that draws from a variety of styles, with full-on rave tunes sitting side by side with mellower, jazz-influenced numbers. Many of Bierman's past collaborators make guest appearances, including Kyo, the vocalist he worked with on his last album and its subsequent 12-inch, Last Chance / The Clamp. Brighton-based duo Spectra Soul contribute some production work as well, as do Silent Witness and Survival, two of Bierman's DNAudio cohorts. All of the material on the album is previously unreleased.
