  • Ableton and Serato have announced details of a worldwide workshop series, demoing their respective Live and Scratch Live products in addition to their joint software endeavour, The Bridge. The Bridge, as its name suggests, has been designed as a link between the not too distant worlds of DJing and production. The software provides watertight synchronization between Ableton's ubiquitous production platform Live, and Serato's similarly widespread digital DJing system Scratch Live. As a quick example of its capabilities, DJs are able to take control over multi-track productions using a turntable or CDJ, or pull up Live's Session View to launch clips/scenes and mess with instruments and devices. For a more detailed breakdown of its features take a look at this video demo shot at NAMM earlier this year. Ableton, Novation and Serato are set to take The Bridge on tour throughout the next few months, which includes a workshop prior to our Xmas party at CAMP in London on Saturday, December 4th. The session begins at 19.30 and will run through until 21.30, while the party itself (which kicks off at 22.00) will feature sets from Pépé Bradock, Bruno Pronsato, Adam Marshall and jozif. Further dates across the UK include Glasgow on November 29th, Leeds on November 30th, Manchester on December 1st and Birmingham the following evening. There will also be stops in Austria, Canada, Germany, Ireland and the US in the coming weeks. A full breakdown of dates and registration for the events can be reached via the link below.
