  • Pop mash-up extraordinaire Girl Talk released his latest full-length earlier today through his usual record label, Illegal Art. The new album is called All Day and can be downloaded for free from Illegal Art's official website. It's Girl Talk's first release since 2008's Feed the Animals, and according to a recent interview with Pitchfork, he finished it in five months of intense work over this past summer. Right now the album can be had in mp3 format as a continuous mix or in separate files, and there are plans to make it available in FLAC as well. In terms of content, you probably know what to expect: a totally rambunctious blend of dozens of beats and a cappellas, especially heavy on pop and hip-hop. Girl Talk, AKA Greg Gillis, released his first collage album more than eight years ago, but it wasn't until 2006's Night Ripper that he really broke through. Since then he's become a pop culture underdog, receiving widespread praise for his sample-happy albums and live shows while at the same time being dubbed a "lawsuit waiting to happen" by the New York Times. All Day will be his fifth full-length to date. Tracklist 01. Oh No 02. Let It Out 03. That's Right 04. Jump on Stage 05. This Is the Remix 06. On and On 07. Get It Get It 08. Down for the Count 09. Make Me Wanna 10. Steady Shock 11. Triple Double 12. Every Day All Day was released on Illegal Art today, November 15th, 2010.
