  • A week after announcing its first compilation, Night Slugs has unveiled details for its first artist album: Bible Eyes, the debut full-length from Egyptrixx. Though almost all of his records have come out on UK-based labels, Egyptrixx is a native of Toronto, Canada, a city he says lacks a centralized electronic scene. But as he explained in an interview with the Toronto Sun, this is a good thing for the artists who live there because it makes their output less homogeneous: "Everyone is off in their own home studios making whatever pops into their brains." His own music is a perfect example of this phenomenon: from track to track, Bible Eyes jumps between minimalist 4/4 tunes, droning IDM and electronic pop, often working up the ravey feel of his Night Slugs cohorts. Bible Eyes won't hit stores until February, but the track "Liberation Front" will come out later this month on Night Slugs Allstars Vol.1. For a sneak preview of the album, check out the opening track in the trippy video below: Tracklist 01. Start From The Beginning 02. Bible Eyes 03. Chrysalis Records feat. Trust 04.
