- The Swiss duo's debut album will drop on Jesse Rose's Made to Play imprint early next year.
Round Table Knights will release an LP entitled Say What?! in February 2011.
Round Table Knights began life as a scratch collective out of Bern, Switzerland. Although their discography dates back to 2006 it wasn't until this year, and the release of their Calypso EP through Jesse Rose's Made to Play, that the now twosome began to receive scene-wide attention. Rose apparently signed "Calypso" on the spot after hearing it played out at Club Bonsoir in Bern, while the label head has also called them regularly this year for Made to Play's bi-monthly Panorama Bar residency.
Of Say What?!'s 14 tracks, both "Calypso" and "Drop the Dow" feature from the aforementioned EP, while "Cut to the Top" and "Stomper," which were both on the Made to Play released Cut to the Top EP from early this year, also get a look in. Those familiar with Made to Play's boisterous, club-ready sound should have a rough idea of what to expect from the LP; the press release states "pop, electro, disco, dub, jazz, garage, swing... all united under the feeling that is house" as its included genres.
