- The hip-hop producer will tour Australia in mid February.
American left-field hip-hop producer Lorn, AKA Marcos Otega, has added three dates to his Australian visit next month.
The February tour will be the Otegata's first visit to Australia. The young artist from Illinois had a busy 2010, rising from obscurity to ink a deal with Flying Lotus' prominent Brainfeeder imprint. An album, along with a string of singles, followed the signing, eventually securing Otegata's place as one of the US beat scene's most promising up-and-comers. His melancholic and synth-heavy production output has found its way onto airwaves and into DJ crates across Europe and the UK alike, often rinsed by jocks that largely steer clear of anything below 130 BPM.
Otega's additional dates will take place both before and after his Playground Weekender appearance. Brisbane will be up first on February 18th, with Adelaide and Perth to follow on the 24th and 25th.
