  • UK bass producer Merrisa Campbell, better known as Cooly G, will be touring Australia later this month. Campbell's sound leans toward the UK Funky end of the bass spectrum, though occasionally, as several releases on Hyperdub have shown, diverges into archetypal dubstep. The young producer's two outings on the London-based imprint have helped solidify her reputation as one of the UK's rising talents, thanks to the far-reaching scope of "Love Dub" and "Up In My Head." Campbell will be kicking her maiden Australian visit off with a date at Heavy Innit!!'s three-room party at Brown Alley, where she'll share the bill with fellow Londoner Roska and UK expat Mark Pritchard. Dates in Sydney and Perth will follow courtesy of Generic Collective and Don't Sleep at the Civic Underground and Ya Ya's, respectively. Discounted entry to Campbell's Sydney appearance can be had at RA Tickets.
