  • Japanese producer Kuniyuki is set to release a new full-length on Mule Musiq entitled Dancing in the Naked City. As you may have guessed from the title, the LP is made up of remixes of songs from Kuniyuki's last album, Walking in the Naked City. Released about this time last year, that record marked a high point for jazzy side of Kuniyuki's sound, helped along by guest appearances from Henrik Schwarz (on vocals) and Japanese pianist Fumio Itabashi. Dancing in the Naked City retains the loose, organic feel of its predecessor, but also strips it down a bit through instrumental and dub mixes, and in places adds more of a deep house groove. The album will come out digitally and on CD in April. Kuniyuki is currently producing a collaborative album with Minilogue (under his Koss moniker) that's tentatively scheduled for later this year, though details on that release are still forthcoming.
