- Kristian Beyer of Âme has put together a collection of edgy electronic music from the '80s.
Âme's Kristian Beyer has put together a compilation called Individual Mythologies, due for release on Innervisions.
Innervisions is widely known for its modern style of house music, but in the past the German label has shown an interest in more experimental sounds as well, in particular on past collections like Muting the Noise and The Grandfather Paradox. Individual Mythologies continues in this vein: it's unmixed, and focuses primarily on music from the '70s and '80s. Selections come from avant-garde composers like Tom Fazzini, Ursula Bogner and Elodie Lauten, as well as the first artist ever signed to Mute Records, Fad Gadget. Some recent artists are included as well, such as darkwave outfit Tropic of Cancer and experimental pop duo Lucky Dragons. The album will be available tomorrow through the Innervisions-associated online shop, Muting the Noise.
