- The English techno stalwart will release his first album in June.
Ali Wells, AKA Perc, has completed his first artist album, entitled Wicker & Steel.
Wells has been active in London's club scene for the better part of a decade, putting out records on top tier techno imprints like CLR and Drumcode. But the majority of his output, and especially his more artistically daring material, has come through Perc Trax, a label he launched in 2004 that acts as a creative platform for himself and a tight-knit group of other artists. Wicker & Steel will see release on Perc Trax this June. It features nine new tracks from the English DJ and producer, all of which stay loyal to the style he's built his career on: steely, uncompromising techno with an industrial edge.
The album will be available digitally and on CD. The first single extraction will be My Head is Slowly Exploding, featuring remixes from Ancient Methods and ex-Throbbing Gristle member Chris Carter.
