Offenbach's much-loved riverside club will throw a weekend of parties for its birthday next month.
Robert-Johnson will celebrate its 12th birthday next month with three back-to-back parties.
In his interview with Ata, one of the club's co-founders, Eike Kühl said that a key to Robert-Johnson's success is lineups "that feature friends rather than popular names." Next month's birthday party is a perfect example: there are the artists who run the club and its label (Ata, Sebastian Kahrs, Oliver Hafenbauer), there's a grip of DJs who've done Live At Robert Johnson mixes (Gerd Janson, Prins Thomas, Roman Flügel, Philip Lauer of Arto Mwambe), and there are a few friends of the family, namely former Wighnomy Brother Robag Wruhme and Perlon staples Zip, Portable and Sammy Dee. Being the culinary artist that he is, Ata has even arranged barbecues for Saturday and Sunday afternoon, courtesy of Club Michel.
