- Elefant Traks will release the Australian pair's first full-length in July.
Australian electronic duo Sietta will release their debut album, The Seventh Passenger, through Elefant Traks next month.
Based in Darwin, a harbour city in Australia's Northern Territory, Sietta is comprised of Caiti Baker, a vocalist, and James Mangohig, a producer and multi-instrumentalist. Since joining forces in 2007, the pair have explored a variety of sounds and textures, ultimately finding their niche in a combination of electronic soul and hip-hop. Their upcoming debut full-length sees them further delve into both of these genres, with frequent nods to proto-dubstep popping up along the way. Fittingly, the Sydney-based Elefant Traks has long been an imprint associated with the kind of leftfield soul and electronic music Sietta pushes, having released comparatively experimental albums from the likes of Hermitude and Unkle Ho alongside more traditional hip-hop.
