- The Australian pair's next album is slated for release later this month.
Australian production duo Pnau will release their fourth album, Soft Universe, later this month through etcetc.
It's been over four years since Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes dropped their last full-length. In the meantime, Littlemore has spent the bulk of the time as one half of Empire of the Sun, a musical partnership forged with Luke Steele in 2006 that has gone on to become one of Australia's most successful electronic music-based pop acts. Mayes, on the other hand, has kept a relatively low profile, working as a producer for a number of Sydney-based bands.
In the past, the pair's work together has been geared toward dance floors, getting a release on labels like Kitsuné and Ministry of Sound. This time around, however, has seen them change their approach to songwriting. "This record is poppier and more structured," Littlemore says of the new LP. "We're trying to move away from the club."
