- Details for the new LP, due out February, have appeared on Monolake's official website.
FACT reports that Monolake will release a new album in February called Ghosts.
Aside from the tracklist, release date (sometime in February) and the fact that it was recorded between January and October of this year, very little information about the album is available at this point. That said, Monolake's official website does provide a weird little vignette to set the scene. Here's an excerpt:
"The fact that Jonathan died in the cave whilst connecting the data lines does not help much to improve the situation. He was not afraid. I am also not afraid. I am just here to write things down. They tell me what they say is important for the world and I write it down. I had more demanding jobs. Apart from the flies."
Over the years Monolake has counted Robert Henke, Gerhard Behles (both key developers of Ableton) and Torsten Pröfrock (AKA T++) as members, but these days it consists solely of Henke. Ghosts will be the project's first album since 2009's Silence. Like nearly all of Monolake's releases, it will come out on Henke's own label, Monolake / Imbalance Computer Music.
