  • Pioneer have revealed details of a new DJ controller, the DDJ-ERGO-V. The one thing the DDJ-ERGO-V certainly isn't lacking is LEDs. As you might be able to tell from the video introduction below, the unit gives a visual representation of things like pitch accuracy, incoming audio signals and FX parameters via a system Pioneer are calling Pulse Control. The DDJ-ERGO-V is primarily designed for use with Atomix Productions' Virtual DJ LE software, which comes bundled, but can be used with alternatives such as Traktor due to its MIDI output. Basic features such as four-deck mixing, filters, sample decks and loop recording all have dedicated controls on the DDJ-ERGO-V's interface, in addition to a pair of 115mm jog wheels. As the video also illustrates, the DDJ-ERGO-V employs the same laptop dock design found on Pioneer's DDJ-T1 and DDJ-S1 controllers. Other features include bus power and a built-in audio interface.
Release date of the DDJ-ERGO-V is to be confirmed; suggested retail price is 499 Euro/£429.
