- The Japanese two-piece's debut album will be released by Rebirth next month.
Tokyo's Bocca Grande—a collaboration between Kousuke Ishida and Yuka Kobayashi—are due to release their debut album, Little Pianist, in December.
Ishida and Kobayashi are something of on unlikely pair. On one hand, Ishida has a long relationship with electronic music, having started producing at the age of 16. He's gone on to release just two solo 12-inches, both for Futic Silver under his DJ Trio moniker in 2009 and 2010. Meanwhile, Kobayashi is a classically trained musician and former piano teacher, and has been working with Kobayashi for over three years, having debuted with the Cray And Pinky single in 2008.
The forthcoming album sees Ishida and Kobayashi stretch out across 11 tracks, each of which features the former's moody and contemplative production style coupled with the latter's complex and expansive arrangements. A remix from Metro Area's Morgan Geist is also included.
