  • Detroit's Blank Artists imprint will celebrate its seventh anniversary this Saturday with a party and a new compilation at Park Bar. Blank Artists has been pushing a warm, lo-fi blend of techno and house (with occasional forays into hip hop and indie rock) from artists around the country since Josh Dahlberg founded the label in 2005. While most of its output has come digitally, the label has put out a few vinyl releases over the years as well, including the 24th and most recent split from Jackson Lee and Ben Jenkins. That duo will DJ at next weekend's party, along with Dahlberg, Jared Wilson and Drew Pompa. Madis One will play live. The party will also coincide with a new compilation on the label, details for which are still forthcoming.
