Szare, AnD and Skirt are billed to play at the Manchester record store's next party on Friday 9th March.
Background details on the Frozen Border/Horizontal Ground camp may be scant, but there's no denying they've put-out some of the freshest techno of the last few years. Both started out in 2009 and have gone out of their way to steep their imprints in ambiguity, using, in the case of Horizontal Ground, alpha numeric code in place of artist names, and attributing everything on Frozen Border either to the name of the label or #.4.26.
Eastern Bloc will host a trio of artists from the imprints on March 9th, starting with Manchester duo AnD, who were responsible for the ninth release on Horizontal Ground. The pair played live at Eastern Bloc's party in December, but this time they'll be stepping behind the decks. 220.127.116.11.5, or Szare as they are more widely known, will play live, while Skirt, the upstart artist behind the seventh Horizontal Ground release, will DJ. Support comes from Manchester-based DJ, Setaoc Mass.
