- Ninja Tune will release the American producer's second album this June.
Lorn is ready to release his second album, entitled Ask the Dust.
It's been two years since Marcos Ortega released Nothing Else, his debut album on Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder label, which established him as a purveyor of dark, hip-hop inspired beats. His palette has continued to develop since then: according to a press release, Ortega describes Nothing Else as "cold and strict," while Ask the Dust is "haunted, oily, smeared." The album takes its title from a 1939 novel by the American author John Fante. Due out in June, it will be his debut on the UK bass and hip-hop institution Ninja Tune.
