dOP take Les Fils Du Calvaire on tour

- The French trio will bring their new 100% live show to various clubs this spring.
- French trio dOP will debut a new live act called Les Fils Du Calvaire in a string of club dates this spring. For an electronic group, dOP have always put an unusual emphasis on live instrumentation and traditional songwriting, both in the studio and onstage. With Les Fils Du Calvaire, they do away with the electronic part altogether in an attempt to fully pursue their ideas "without the command of a relentless kick drum to obey." As you can hear in the trailer below, the result is an off-kilter style of folk-inspired pop with French lyrics. Les Fils Du Calvaire will debut tonight and tomorrow with back-to-back shows at dOP's spiritual home, Salon Zur Wilde Renate in Berlin. The trio will spend the rest of the month in Germany, playing in Münich, Jena, Düsseldorf and Wolkramshausen. In June and July they'll play a few more gigs in Lebanon, France and Poland.
