- The Detroit producer's next LP features guest appearances from Reckless Ron Cook, Generation Next and his cousin Omar-S.
Detroit producer Big Strick is ready to release his second album, Resivoir Dogs.
Real name Leonard Strickland, Big Strick owes part of his success to his cousin Alex Smith, better known as Omar-S, who gave him a leg-up early on by releasing his first two EPs, 7 Days and 100% Hustler, on FXHE. Strickland has pulled his own weight since then, launching the label 7 Days Ent. and using it as a platform for three more EPs and an album, Detroit Heat. Resivoir Dogs arrives barely a year after that LP, and features some of Strickland's usual collaborators: 16-year-old Generation Next (another extended family member), Omar-S and Detroit veteran Reckless Ron Cook. The album is due out on 7 Days Ent. in June.
