Terre Thaemlitz has a single US date at Brooklyn's Sound Noir in July.
US-born-and-raised Terre Thaemlitz has been involved in the underground house scene since the late '80s after moving to New York City, becoming a prominent DJ in the local scene by the early '90s. Though music under the Thaemlitz name often leans more towards ambient material, the producer has a labyrinthine array of aliases, including the more house-leaning monikers Kami-Sakunobe House Explosion K-S.H.E and DJ Sprinkles. The latter released RA's top album of 2009 with Midtown 120 Blues. After relocating to Japan, Thaemlitz's dates in the US are few and far between, but Sound Noir, the house night which just celebrated its third anniversary in March, will host a special extended DJ Sprinkles set at a TBA venue. The exact length of the set remains to be seen, as does the lineup of opening DJs.
