The three-day weekender will take over Melkweg for a series of shows in July.
The Amsterdam Bass Festival will take place in Amsterdam from July 12th to 14th.
This will be the first edition of the weekend-long event, which also claims to be Amsterdam's first multi-day festival for dubstep and bass music. The action will be centered around Melkweg, a former warehouse complex and one of the city's most popular venues. The first two days will feature concerts in the evenings and club nights afterwards. Thursday night's concert will see a performance by British hip-hop group Foreign Beggars, before local dubstep promoter Cable takes over with Dub Police boss Caspa and Rinse FM jock Plastician among a number of local acts.
Enigmatic rapper DOOM will provide live entertainment for the evening portion on Friday, followed later on by Chestplate founder Distance and his signees Cyrus and Tunnidge, plus London jack-of-all-trades Om Unit and Tectonic head honcho Pinch. The final night, on Saturday, is a joint effort by 50Hurtz, Never Say Die, and Major League, who will present a mixture of dubstep and drum & bass courtesy of Skism, 501, Ed Rush and more.
