Dozens of artists have been confirmed for Richie Hawtin's new Thursday night party, including Grimes, Nina Kraviz, Ben Klock and The Martinez Brothers.
Hawtin outlined the night's technologically advanced and sake-obsessed concept for us in an interview last month, but the lineups have been completely under wraps until today. All in all, the 12-week series presents a mixture of core Minus artists (Paco Osuna, Ambivalent, Click Box, Hobo, Barem) and friends of the family (Mathew Jonson, Carl Craig, Dubfire, Josh Wink, Radio Slave), plus a number of more surprising names. These include acclaimed indie electronic artist Grimes, who will play live on the 23rd, dub techno godfather Mark Ernestus, and Sven Vath, who will play a rare date away from his own Ibiza institution (Cocoon on Mondays at Amnesia) on August 9th.
Other highlights include Maya Jane Coles, Nina Kraviz, Damian Lazarus, Mute label head Daniel Miller and Berghain residents Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock. Former Minus staples Magda and Marc Houle will both play numerous times as well.
As mentioned in the interview last month, there will be a sake bar open from 10:00 PM to midnight every week, with a different DJ each time (among others, Francois K, Carl Craig and Hawtin himself). Also worth noting: anyone "sporting" the night's dot logo "on their body" will get a €5 discount on the entry fee.
