  • Chicago house artist Chez Damier will return to Australia to play Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney from July 19th. The Motor City veteran has been a key purveyor of deep house music since the late '80s, hopping between his hometown, New York and Detroit throughout his early career, working with Kevin Saunderson and Ron Trent on their labels KMS and Prescription. His legacy has been cemented by a number of classic house records, like the untitled KMS 049, and he continues to release original music, with his most recent material dropping on Mojuba and Prescription sub-label Balance. His own personal project, Balance Alliance, has been an outlet for artists like Brawther, Giles Smith and Jeremiah, as well as some Chez Damier material. This trip will be Damier's first visit to Australia since 2010. It kicks off in Adelaide at Sugar, where the In The Deep End crew will both host and DJ the party on July 19th. The following evening he heads to Melbourne to spin at Brown Alley for an Under One Roof event, also featuring Mike Callander and a live set from Text Book Music. The last gig will be at Sydney's Spice Cellar on July 21st, with residents Murat Kilic, Nic Scali and Steven Sullivan scoring the rest of the evening. Tickets to both the Melbourne and Sydney parties can be picked up here on RA.
