Afrika Bambaataa plays Rong Music Summer Block Party

- This Sunday in Brooklyn, Let's Play House and Rong Music will host the Rong Music Summer Block Party at Dekalb Market. Along with the Market's diverse set of pop-up shops, the evening will feature an eclectic array of artists on the decks. Afrika Bambaataa, the iconic hip-hop artist whose career in music stretches back more than three decades, is at the top of the bill, and Beats In Space radio host Tim Sweeney is also confirmed. Rong Music founder DJ Spun will put together a special "old school electro freestyle set," and Breakbeat Lou (the breaks veteran formally known as Louis Flores) will play a set with only 7-inch 45s. Rong Music's Shane O'Grady rounds out the music program for the party, which will run from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Grab tickets here on RA.
