Keysound Recordings will release the London bass duo's next LP in September.
Dusk + Blackdown will release a new album called Dasaflex this September on Keysound Recordings.
Dusk and Blackdown are Dan Frampton and Martin Clark, both longtime staples of London's bass scene. In addition to being a seasoned DJ and producer, Clark is also head of Keysound Recordings and a music journalist (formerly with a grime and dubstep column in Pitchfork). Aside from High Road, an EP that came out earlier this month, Dasaflex will be their first batch of new productions in a few years.
"In the period after making our debut album 'Margins Music' we swore we wouldn't, couldn't do it again," they say in a press release. "That was it—and for the exact conditions in which the album had come out of, it sorta was. But then the sands began to change around us, and sifting through a sea of beats for our Rinse FM show, we began to be re-inspired, in many different ways. Four years and hundreds of thousands of possibilities later, Dasaflex is where we're at."
Dasaflex will be available digitally and on vinyl. You can see the video for the title track below:
