  • Joe Andrews and Tom Halstead, AKA Raime, are ready to release their debut album, Quarter Turns Over a Living Line. The album follow three acclaimed EPs from the UK duo, who since 2011 have championed a foreboding style of drone and experimental techno that reflects the raison d'etre of Blackest Ever Black, the UK label that's released all of their records so far. Quarter Turns Over a Living Line shows their sound continuing to evolve; this time they've traded their usual arsenal of samples for more live arrangements, mainly using guitar, strings and percussion. The album will be the first full-length on Blackest Ever Black. It will be supported by a number of live and DJ gigs, including dates at London's Ether Festival, Unsound Festival in Poland and Berghain in Berlin. You can stream the third track, "Soil and Colts," right here. Tracklist 01. Passed Over Trail 02. The Last Foundry 03. Soil and Colts 04. Exist in the Repeat of Practice 05.
