- Daniel Loptain of Onoehtrix Point Never guests on Matt Mondanile's first LP for Domino.
Matt Mondanile will release his next album as Ducktails early next year on Domino.
Mondanile is a New Jersey-based artist with a startling level of productivity. He's a member of the acclaimed indie rock band Real Estate and initially saw Ducktails as just a side project, but that didn't stop him from putting out more than a dozen records under the name in a five-year period. These days Ducktails is more and more of a collaborative effort: The Flower Lane shows him teaming up with Daniel Lopatin of Oneohtrix Point Never and Lopatin's frequent collaborator Joel Ford. Also on board are the New Jersey band Big Troubles and Madeline Follin of Cults.
The Flower Lane will be Mondanile's first solo release on Domino. It was recorded and mixed over the summer with Al Carson, who's also done studio work with Peaking Lights and Oneohtrix Point Never. You can hear the title track right here.
