  • Peaking Lights will release a dub version of their 2012 album Lucifer this December. Even the original version of Lucifer had a heavy dub influence: though the overall delivery might have seemed more indie rock or shoegaze, plodding rhythms and balmy reverb were central to its sound. "Before Lucifer even had a song written or a name to it we had the ‘light bulb skull rattle’ that we had to do a dub for whatever was to come out of the studio session," says Aaron Coyes, who makes up half of Peaking Lights alongside his wife, Indra Duni. "We have always loved the challenge of approaching the music we make from a new angle, and although the dub aspect to the music we make may be there in structure this is the first time we have laid it down by playing as the engineers." Lucifer In Dub will come out on the same label as Lucifer: the Domino sub-label Weird World. You can hear the opening cut, "Cosmick Dub," right here. Tracklist 01. Cosmick Dub 02. My Heart Dubs for You 03. Beautiful Dub 04. Live Dub 05. Dub Low Dub High 06. Midnight Dub Weird World will release Lucifer In Dub on December 10th, 2012.
