Juan Atkins will play a Brooklyn Bass party on December 29th.
The Detroit producer and techno godfather isn't as busy in the production department these days as he used to be, despite relaunching his legendary Metroplex label last year. His output has been mostly limited to a few singles under the name Model 500, now a full band that occasionally plays live. As a DJ, however, Atkins is still as active as ever, touring internationally and headlining festivals. His most recent sets have shown the wizened veteran keeping up with the times, combining tougher flavours of house with straight-up techno. Local support will come from Brooklyn Bass's cohort of DJs.
