The next Barcelona edition of the French-Canadian festival will take place in February.
The next edition of MUTEK.ES will happen in Barcelona from February 6th through the 9th.
This will be the Quebecois festival's second year in a row hosting a series of events in Barcelona. The lineup reflects Mutek's signature blend of house and techno DJs with more avant-garde live acts. Topping the bill is Jeff Mills, the legendary Detroit techno luminary, and Monolake, the influential German outfit that's now a solo project by Robert Henke. Darker moods will come from UK acts Raime and Vessel, while The Mole and DeWalta deliver more club-friendly fare. UK artist Jon Hopkins is also confirmed, along with Le Révélateur, an audio-visual project that includes former Godspeed You Black Emperor member Roger Tellier-Craig.
The action will spread across a few different venues, including Nitsa, Moog and a new venue called Station Barcelona. There will be daytime conference events as well, featuring workshops, demos, Q&A sessions and the like. More details on the lineup should come through in December.
