- The UK streaming site will make its debut in South Africa this month.
Boiler Room will host its first event in South Africa on Thursday, February 14th.
To date, Boiler Room has hosted parties across Europe, Australia and the US. Its Cape Town showcase will see revered South African DJ Black Coffee—who featured prominently in our recent Real Scenes documentary—headlining, with support coming from Shangaan Electro, Sibot, Killer Robot and Floyd Lavine. The show, a joint project with Red Bull Music Academy, will be broadcast live from 9:00PM through 1:00AM local time (7:00PM-11:00PM GMT). It has been timed to coincide with the Cape Town Electronic Music Festival and Bridges For Music series of workshops, both of which will feature appearances from Richie Hawtin.
