James Holden hits Montreal

- The Border Community head will play a single Canadian date in May.
- James Holden will play Montreal on May 25th. The Canadian date comes at the beginning of what is likely to be a busy season for the Border Community founder. Though he's always had a relatively active DJing career, last month Holden announced the details of his second album, The Inheritors, due out in June. In addition to his acclaimed solo work, Holden has put out several well-received mix CDs including the progressive house landmark Balance 005, along with turns at the DJ-Kicks and At The Controls series. Holden's first Canadian appearance since MUTEK in 2011 will take place at Stereo. He'll be supported by Montreal resident Pascal B, whose own taste in techno and house is a neat match with Holden's melodic and emotive style. The following night, Holden will make an appearance at a Life in Death showcase at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit, an unofficial Movement festival afterparty.
