The Berlin-based producer will play six stateside dates this month.
Objekt will head out on a short tour of the US later this month.
Berlin-based TJ Hertz made waves back in 2011 when he emerged with his own self-titled imprint, before debuting on Hessle Audio with the well-received "Cactus" / "Porcupine" 12-inch. Mixing bass music sounds in with techno, a style that RA contributor Philip Sherburnedescribed as "[balancing] slinky cadences with a grim intensity," Objekt's DJ sets tend to pit modern dance music against classic electro, high-octane techno from the likes of Jeff Mills and Underground Resistance as well as as more experimental music like Pan Sonic.
An inductee of this year's Red Bull Music Academy in New York, his first US date will take place this Saturday at an RBMA event at Public Assembly. For that one, he'll be joined by Andy Stott and Octo Octa among others. The next week, he'll head out on his own tour, starting with another date in NYC on May 13th—this time at Cielo for Deep Space with Francois K. From there, he'll hit the Together Festival in Boston, Portland's Holocene, a Futra party in LA and finally an Icee Hot party in San Francisco. He'll co-headline Icee Hot with Running Back head Gerd Janson, who himself will be touring America at the same time.
Tickets for the Deep Space, Together and Futra gigs are available on RA.
