Mike Simonetti is also billed for the party later this month.
Pat Mahoney will top the bill at LA's next Far Away party on Friday, July 26th.
The events offshoot of the Far Away radio show and podcast series has previously hosted leftfield house and disco acts like Woolfy and Beautiful Swimmers since first kicking off a year ago. For the sixth edition of the party later this month, Mahoney—a DFA affiliate and former member of LCD Soundsystem—will DJ along with Mike Simonetti, another East Coast artist who runs the label Italians Do It Better. They'll both play extended sets on the decks. Two more LCD Soundsystem veterans, David Scott Stone and Matt Thornley, are confirmed for a rare live hardware performance, and the night will start with a set from Far Away main man Cooper Saver.
The gig will go down at a private location, and an RSVP is required to figure out where it's happening. Tickets are available here on RA.
While in California, both Mahoney and Simonetti will play Public Works in San Francisco the following night as part of a lineup that also features Tim Sweeney and Terrence Dixon (who will perform live). Mahoney will then touch down in Chicago the next weekend to DJ at Smart Bar along with yet another DFA artist, The Juan Maclean.
