- The French duo will follow up their debut record, Babylon By Car, with a new LP in November.
Bot'Ox have released full details of their second album, Sans Dormir, due out November 6th.
The duo of Julien Briffaz and Cosmo Vitelli formed in 2005. Since then they've released one album—2010's Babylon By Car—and released several singles of dubby, pop-tinged and uniquely Gallic electronica. On Sans Dormir the project maintains its conceptual link to cars, with the album's sleeve depicting a dilapidated nightclub. "In the same way as cars, far from being a futuristic symbol of progress and speed, can give a foretaste of the junkyard, the nightclub, a symbol of youth and vitality, contains in its promise of sleepless nights the inevitable ensuing fatigue," a press release reads.
The LP will be released through Vitelli's I'm A Cliché label. It comprises some new material alongside a few previously released cuts, with vocal appearances from Mark Kerr, Anna Jean, Samy Osta and Snatch's Judy Nylon. The album will be released with a bonus CD with tracks from the soundtrack to 2011 film Mineurs 27, which was recorded by Bot'Ox, along with a sprinkling of B-sides, digital-only singles and some previously unreleased material.
