The South African party series kicks off this weekend in Cape Town.
A new party series called Hlanganani will launch in Cape Town this weekend with Andre Lodemann.
Hlanganani, which means "come together" in Zulu, has been set up by husband-wife production duo Sahin Meyer as an outlet to promote South African artists. They'll host ten events over the coming months in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg in collaboration with local promoters. The series kicks off on November 29th with Andre Lodemann, who will be supported by a cast of local selectors including Terrence Pearce, Sahin Meyer, Julz Sanchez and Pierre-Estienne. Lodemann will then DJ at parties in Johannesburg and Durban on November 30th and December 1st respectively, before the series continues with further events featuring XDB and Mario Basanov, before wrapping up in Durban on December 22nd (the lineup for that one is still TBA).
In addition to the parties, a Hlanganani label is in the works, too. The first release will come from South African artist B'utiza and is backed with remixes from XDB and Christian Prommer.
Tickets to the Hlanganani events are available here on RA.
