- The duo will release an album on Planet Mu in February.
Aaron Funk, AKA Venetian Snares, will release an album with Toronto's Joanne Pollock called Poemss.
The LP was recorded at Funk's house in Winnipeg over the first half of 2013. It's the first collaboration between the two artists, and a press release describes the record as "a collection of soft and dreamlike ballads" heavy on vocals—a stark contrast to the kind of punishing breakcore his Venetian Snares alias is associated with. Poemss includes the first song the duo wrote together and essentially charts their evolution as a unit. The record be released on Planet Mu, continuing Funk's long-running relationship with the UK label.
