The LA DJs will travel across the US and Canada together through January and February.
Salva and RL Grime have announced a joint tour of North America starting in late January.
The expedition finds both LA-based artists in top form after stellar performances in 2013. This past year, Paul Salva released an EP of experimental takes on hip-hop and trap, starred on BBC Radio 1's In New DJs We Trust and performed alongside ex-Clipse rapper Pusha T (and also spoke to us for a Playing Favourites feature). Henry Steinway, meanwhile, established his trap-oriented alias RL Grime with a relentless gigging schedule that included stints with Baauer and Ryan Hemsworth, as well as plenty of festival slots, an EP on Fool's Gold and even a co-sign from Goosebumps author R.L. Stine. You can check out the self-released "Because Of U" here or below, and his recent Halloween mix here.
The tour begins at home on January 23rd, when the duo playing the El Rey Theatre, and from there it'll bring them through Bloomington, Washington DC, Denver, Philadelphia and Chicago. They have four dates in Florida—Gainesville, Tallahassee, Miami and Orlando (where their journey wraps up on February 15th), and will also make two stops in Canada, in Winnipeg and in Guelph, Ontario. RL Grime is set for an appearance at Montreal's Igloofest on February 6th as well, where he's billed alongside hip-hop legend Just Blaze on the Main Stage.
