The South London venue's latest in-house night kicks off next month with Mr. G, MGUN and more.
South London venue Corsica Studios has started a new in-house monthly party called Distant Cousins.
The aim of the series is to keep things intimate: each party will be a one-room affair that offers guest DJs the chance to play extended sets. For the first event on February 7th, they've teamed up with London label Don't Be Afraid, with label boss Semtek joined on the bill by Mr Beatnick, MGUN and cult favourite Mr. G. Future Distant Cousins events have been locked in with ItaloJohnson, as well as artists from the Workshop and Retreat labels.
The coming weeks at Corsica will also see the second instalment of the Find Me In The Dark series. Taking place on January 18th, Shed will play a rare set as Head High, with Pariah, Marquis Hawkes and White Material co-founder DJ Richard also on the bill. The weekend of January 31st sees a two-part Trouble Vision party (known as Double Trouble Vision). On the first night, Moodymann, Moodymann, Severino and the Principals crew will all spin, while the second night (February 1st) is a launch party for Martyn's forthcoming album The Air Between Your Words. The Dutch producer will DJ and play live with vocalist Inga Copeland, with support coming from Trevino, Leon Vynehall and D-Bridge (playing as Velvit).
Tickets to all Corsica Studios events are available here on RA.
