- Due out in April, the Dutch producer's first LP is coming out through ESP Institute.
Full details of the debut album from Young Marco have been announced.
As revealed in last year's Breaking Through feature, the first full-length from Amsterdam producer Marco Sterk is called Biology, and will see release through Lovefingers' label, ESP Institute. "[The album] is not a huge deal," Sterk told us last year. "For me it's not a case of, 'Here's my mind-blowing debut album,' it's just some music that fits together. But there is more space for tracks to do less on an album. You can have a track that doesn't really go anywhere and that can be cool, not boring."
Sterk has become a core member of the ESP Institute roster since releasing the breakthrough Nonono EP on the label in 2011. He has since released another solo 12-inch (Video Days), and chipped in with remixes of Soft Rocks and Michael Ozone. Biology comprises seven new tracks, and will come out digitally and on vinyl. It's described by ESP as "a passionate album" that "transcends genre and taste despite being wholly instrumental."
