- WTF! will land on the new Freshmoon imprint in March.
DJ Rashad will collaborate with his Teklife peers MoonDoctoR & FreshtillDef for an album called WTF!.
The LP comes on the new Freshmoon label, which was founded by MoonDoctoR and FreshtillDef last year with the 808k compilation, released as a tribute to the Austin footwork night of the same anme. The two producers (Tony and Lacey Mundaca) are part of Chicago's Teklife crew alongside artists like Rashad, Spinn and DJ Earl. Tony's father was a DJ in the early days of Chicago's house scene, while Lacey was a big player in the drum & bass scene of her home state, Texas. The digital-only album—which plays around with the footwork form as much as you'd expect—follows Rashad's well-received Double Cup on Hyperdub from last year, and it features collaborations with Earl and Spinn as well as fellow Teklife member DJ Manny and Chicago's Christina Mundaca.
