- Scott Hansen's three-piece band will go coast to coast and back again in support of his new LP Awake.
Next month, Tycho will embark on a lengthy tour following the release of their new album Awake.
Originally the brainchild of San Francisco-based audio-visual artist Scott Hansen, Tycho is now a three-piece band comprised of Hansen, guitarist and bassist Zac Brown and drummer Rory O’Connor. Awake looks to mark a stylistic shift for the project—in fact, Hansen has described it as "the first true Tycho record."
The album will drop on March 18th, and Tycho's international tour starts close to home with gigs over the next two nights by way of The Catalyst in Santa Cruz and The Fillmore in San Francisco (that SF event is already sold out). A quick five-night jaunt across Europe will follow, before touring on this side of the pond resumes in earnest in early April with 26 more cities on the schedule. A pair of Colorado performances will lead to the Midwest and then northeast to Toronto and Montreal (for now the band's only appearances in Canada). A long run of East Coast shows then has Tycho traveling through the South and Southwest, and finally winding things down with two more California dates in Los Angeles and Sacramento.
